About the series
Blood Ties is based on the “Blood Books” by Canadian author Tanya Huff. Lifetime aired the series, shot in Toronto, in 2007 and 2008, two seasons with 22 episodes. Christina Cox plays ex-cop Vicki Nelson, who left the force because of an eye disease and now works as a private investigator.
On a case she meets Henry Fitzroy (Kyle Schmid), illegitimate son of Henry VIII, who has lived as a vampire for almost 500 years and draws graphic novels. Between him and her former partner, Detective Mike Celluci (Dylan Neal), and with her assistant Coreen (Gina Holden) at her side, Vicki investigates cases of demons, ghosts and curses.
