About the series
Dollhouse is Joss Whedon’s series after Firefly. Fox aired it from 2009 to 2010, two seasons with 26 episodes. Eliza Dushku, Faith from Buffy, plays Echo, one of the “Actives”: people who signed away their memories to the Dollhouse for a few years. For rich clients they are imprinted with new personalities – as lover, thief or negotiator – and afterwards return to the house as blank “Dolls”.
But Echo keeps fragments of every imprint. FBI agent Paul Ballard is searching for the Dollhouse, and the escaped Active Alpha is hunting her. More familiar Whedon faces: Amy Acker (Fred in Angel) as Dr. Saunders, Alexis Denisof (Wesley) as Senator Perrin and Summer Glau (Firefly). “Epitaph One” and “Epitaph Two” show where the technology of the Rossum Corporation has led the world in 2019.
