Plot

At the Hotel, Groo explains to Cordy that he has prepared a soothing drink for Angel called Mock-Na, which releases tension. Cordy notes that it’s muddy water, before drinking a bit for Groo. Groo offers to rub Cordy’s Schlug-Tee, which Cordy mistakes as an advance. Groo explains he meant to rub Cordy’s tense neck muscle. Cordy leaves for the lobby when she sees Angel returning. Angel explains how he didn’t kill Holtz, but they just talked. Cordy notes that Connor is still out with Fred and Gunn. Angel reveals Holtz wants Connor to stay with Angel, and Cordy embraces Angel. Groo watches jealously.

Connor is holding Holtz’s lifeless body. Justine lies to Connor, pretending that Angel killed Holtz while Holtz was packing up to leave forever. Justine offers to help Connor kill Angel, but Connor has something worse in store for his father.

Angel and Cordy are going through the Hotel, looking for a room for Connor to live in. Cordy is excited that Angel is finally going a chance to meet his son, in a normal, day-to-day environment. Angel is taking into consideration television, homework, chores, clothes, and weekly allowance. Angel is concerned that Connor is going to hate him, and Cordy comforts Angel. Lorne enters, and announces that he’s leaving. Fred reveals that he has gotten a job in Las Vegas, and he’s flying down the next evening. Cordy suggests rebuilding the club Caritas, and Lorne points out that Team Angel have destroyed it three times already. Lorne also notes that Connor is a factor in his quick withdrawal to Nevada. Lorne warns Angel and Cordy not to turn their back on Connor anytime soon.

Connor and Justine drive a pick-up truck to a deserted meadow. Justine decides it is a good spot to bury Holtz, because it looks like England. Connor recalls how he was supposed to grow up on a ranch with Holtz and Justine. Connor notes Holtz was bitten by Angelus, so may have been turned.

Flashback: Justine kills Holtz by stabbing him twice in the neck.

Connor decapitates Holtz’s remains, under the assumption that Holtz may return as a vampire.

Lilah tracks Wesley down to a bar, where Wesley has drunk a lot of alcohol by himself. Lilah asks how Wesley’s throat is, before Lilah begins musing about Connor’s return and the Apocalypse. Lilah suggests that Connor might kill Fred. Wesley gets angry and grabs Lilah firmly around the throat.

Connor and Justine stand, watching the pyre burn, with Holtz’s body inside.

Fred and Gunn arrive at the Hotel, desperate to tell Angel about Connor’s latest disappearance. Groo points out that Angel and Cordy are upstairs, looking for a bedroom. Angel and Cordy return to the Lobby, laughing and having a good time. Gunn explains that Connor overheard that Angel went to see Holtz, and Connor ran away. Angel notes that Connor’s going to be confused, because Holtz is gone. Cordy explains that Holtz wants Connor to live with Angel. Connor enters the lobby, and Angel gives Connor the letter from Holtz. Connor decides to stay with Angel for a while.

Connor is alone in his bedroom, reading Holtz’s letter. Connor is sitting in the sunlight from the window. Angel enters, bringing Connor a bookcase with some books on it. Angel proposes taking Connor to a movie that night. Connor charges at Angel, who blocks Connor’s attack. Connor asks Angel to teach him vampire reflexes. Angel offers to help teach Connor some new techniques.

Angel is training Connor, with the help of Fred, Gunn, and seat-cushions. Angel explains to Connor that he can’t lose his balance. Cordy arrives, and Angel invites her to come with the rest of Team Angel to the movies. Cordy notes that she has plans with Groo already. Angel starts the training again, making Fred a vampire and Gunn a bystander. Connor closes his eyes at Angel’s suggestion, to feel which way the attack is coming from.

Cordy arrives in her apartment, with all the lights off. Cordy finds Groo, and Cordy compliments his appearance. Groo reveals to Cordy that she is in love with someone else.

Angel is in his bedroom, when Lorne enters. Lorne is about to leave for Las Vegas, before giving Angel a CD called ‘Songs For The Love –Lorne’. Lorne also reveals that Angel’s feeling for Cordy are mutual.
Cordy is surprised Groo thinks she loves Angel.
It is pointed out that Cordy and Angel finish each other’s sandwiches, they laugh at each other’s jokes, and Cordy hurts when Angel hurts.
Lorne tells Angel to stay open. Lorne leaves.
Groo dares Cordy to tell him that he’s wrong. Cordy says nothing, and Groo takes his bags and leaves.

Angel, Connor, Fred and Gunn are at the drive-in movies, watching an action movie. Gunn leaves to get a refill of popcorn. A helicopter flies over the movie screen, and three men in black combat uniform rappel down lines.

The searchlight focuses on Angel’s car. Angel orders Connor out of the car, as Gunn bowls over two of the commandos. Angel and Connor start fighting with the commandos. Linwood and Gavin are hidden in a nearby van, watching on surveillance monitors. Linwood is angry about being kidnapped and threatened by Angel, and Linwood is eager to dissect Connor. They watch as Angel protects Connor. Gavin is surprised when Connor protects Angel.

Team Angel fight off Linwood’s commandos, until Linwood yells abort over the helicopter’s speakers. Angel rips the doors off the van and pulls Linwood out, threatening to kill Linwood. Police cars are heard in the distance, and Linwood suggests both Angel and Linwood’s forces leave. Connor grabs Linwood, and warns him to stay away from Angel. Linwood calls Connor by Holtz’s name, Steven. Connor tells Linwood his name is Connor. Team Angel leave.

Cordy is at home, looking at a picture of Angel, considering whether Groo was right. The Cordy in the mirror begins talking to regular Cordy, and reveals that she is in love with Angel.

Team Angel enter the lobby, and Angel rushes to the ringing telephone. Cordy is on the phone, and asks Angel to meet her at Point Dume in an hour. Angel gets excited, realizing what Cordy wants to talk about. Angel tells Connor he’s going out for a bit. Fred notes that Angel is really happy, and starts poking Angel with a stake, reminding him not to get too happy.

Wesley realizes what he’s just done, and tells Lilah to get out of his bed. Lilah notes that Ange has a soul, and Wesley’s losing his, before leaving.

Angel arrives at Point Dume. Cordy is nowhere in sight.

Cordy is roaring down the highway, realizing that she is late.

Angel checks the time on his cell-phone, and accidentally drops the phone off a cliff.

Cordy is very nervous, and gets alarmed when her car starts shooting white light. Cordy parks on the left shoulder, as traffic around her slows and stops. The motorists are frozen in time.

Angel double-checks the time, and returns to his car, to find Connor there. Connor grabs Angel, and throws himself and Angel over the cliff.

Angel and Connor land on the beach bellow. Connor starts attacking Angel.

Cordy gets out of her car, and is startled by Skip. Cordy asks Skip if she’s dying, and he says no. Skip explains that Cordy has become a higher being, and has move to a higher level.

Angel gets a hold of Connor, and Connor tasers Angel. Connor signals to Justine, waiting in a boat offshore.

Cordy wants to talk to Angel first, but Skip says she can’t.

Angel wakes up in a coffin, strapped in with steel cables. Connor accuses Angel of killing Holtz, which Angel denies. Justine tells Connor that Angel is lying. Connor reveals that Angel gets to live forever, under the sea.

Cordy accepts, and begins to float up into the sky.

Angel protests as Connor seals him away. Connor and Justine push the coffin into the water, and watch it sink.

In the Lobby, all of the disappearances strike Fred and Gunn, as they realize that Wesley, Lorne, Groo, Connor, Cordy, and Angel are all missing.

Angel’s coffin sinks further down into the depths, as Cordy’s elevation raises higher and higher. The coffin sinks into a pitch black spot, before hitting the bottom.
